I enjoy thinking of compelling ways of presenting research material within proposal documents, treatments and power point presentations. Below are a few of my favourite ideas I have pitched in recent times.

How To Be Human Again

Working as a team leader within the Beatfreek’s Youth Steering Committee; we are in the early stages of planning a reintegration social event alongside a social media campaign. This is in response to learning that with socialising at a near halt during the pandemic, our social muscles have atrophied and we may have to re-train ourselves to be with others again.

Additionally, research conducted by Young Minds found that “67% of young people believed that the pandemic will have a long-term negative effect on their mental health”.

BBC Education

Talk To Me

After discovering, GCSE language entries fell by 29% over five years, and 35% of schools have dropped at least one language from their options at GCSE. In conjunction with Brexit creating a gap in the job market for foreign language speakers. I saw it fit to pitch a language campaign to inspire the next generation of bilingual speakers.

Some of my ideas have already been incorporated into BBC Bitesize and BBC Teach content over the past year. Additionally, the BBC Education department are due to revisit this pitch at the end of August 2021.

Four Walls

I successfully pitched a documentary idea – ‘How are creatives fairing amidst the corona virus outbreak’ to receive a grant from Beatfreeks. The grant was used to pay contributors who had been heavily impacted by Covid-19. The whole production was completed remotely.

BBC Education

I pitched a student facing RSE campaign in response to the news that health education will be a mandatory part of the curriculum for all primary and secondary schools in England from autumn 2020.
